Hi, I’m Jess.

Born and raised in Muswell Hill, North London, and now based nearby, I support families across the area with warm, grounded care that meets you where you are.

I’ve always been fascinated by pregnancy, birth, and the huge transition that happens when someone becomes a parent. When a baby is born, a parent is born too, and I believe they deserve just as much care, support and nurturing.

Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, bringing a new little person into the world can be joyful, overwhelming, exhausting, wonderful and sometimes all of those things before breakfast. Having the right support during that time can make a real difference.

Before becoming a doula, I spent a short stint in politics and a much longer one in the corporate world. I learned a lot, but there was always a little voice in the background telling me I wanted something more - something deeply connected to people and the moments in life that really matter.

Eventually, I stopped ignoring that voice, and here I am.

Training as a birth and postnatal doula has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve ever made. To be invited to support someone through pregnancy, birth or early parenthood, is something I feel very privileged to do.

My own journey into motherhood played a huge part in bringing me here. I have two daughters, and their births - and the recoveries that followed - were wildly different experiences; both euphoric, both hard work, both with the highest highs and some very difficult lows.

Through them, I learned just how much it matters to feel supported, listened to, and cared for. I learned the value of continuity of care; of having someone firmly in your corner who listens to you and supports you; of being reminded that you don’t need to have all the answers, and that sometimes the biggest question is simply: “Am I doing OK?” That’s always a good place to start.

As a doula, my aim is simple: to offer calm, practical and compassionate support that feels right for you and your family. I’ll never tell you how you should do things, but I will be there to listen, encourage, share evidence-based information, and help you find your own path with confidence.

I care deeply about nurturing the parents and making sure you feel held, seen and supported as you navigate this big change. I also know that alongside the tears, uncertainty and interrupted sleep, there can be joy, humour and some wonderfully chaotic moments too. I’m a big believer that laughter can be just as valuable as reassurance.

When I’m not doula-ing, you’ll usually find me swimming, at Pilates, or being kept on my toes by my two young girls. I’m happiest spending time with friends, sharing good food, a glass of wine and plenty of laughter - all things that feed my soul. I am married to Ed, a hospital doctor, who keeps us all sane and have a cat called Elvis, who is convinced he runs the household.

If you’re looking for someone warm, down-to-earth, and genuinely in your corner as you prepare for birth or navigating life with a new baby, I’d love to hear from you.

“Jess and I grew up together in North London, and she has always been someone you could never forget - brimming with warmth, positivity, and a brilliant sense of humour.

After a few years apart, we were unexpectedly reunited in early 2023, both bleary-eyed, hormonal, and navigating those intense early weeks after having our second children. Meeting up with tiny babies strapped to our chests felt like pure therapy. We talked endlessly, laughed, wiped away tears, and shared the whole messy, beautiful reality of the postpartum period. I walked away feeling spiritually lifted.

I truly can’t think of anyone better suited to be a doula. Jess was born to support women and lift them up. She will be an absolute ray of empathy, sunshine, and unwavering support in your life.”
